Rune Wins ProTec... Again! He's World Champion Too!
by: Brink | Sunday, May 18, 2008

So yesterday, at the fourth annual ProTec Pool Party, Rune Glifberg won for the second year in a row and his third out of four Pool Parties. Yes indeed... three. Rune won the first year in 2005, got second place against Omar Hassan in 2006 and came back to win '07 and '08. Let is be known that vert legend and dude who's skating and style never seem to be inhibited by age, Chris Miller, has won all four years in the Masters division... yeah, he doesn't ride for us or anything, but much respect due.

I was a tad distracted by all the chaos going on, and trying to get a decent photo or two because I forgot my flash like an amateur, but a few of the bangers I saw Rune throw down included a backside nosegrinds, switch backside flips, the most stylish backlips in the biz and a back tail shove out in the tight corner that had the entire place going apeshit.

Earlier in the day, before the finals, World Cup Skateboarding held an awards ceremony for the past year of competition and Rune was also pronounced World Champion! I'd say it was a pretty good day for Mr. Glifberg.
Dayummmm Rune! Slow your roll, homey! You're makin' it all look too easy! No man, seriously, congratulations, you're always ripping.
